Why should I use a Pet Sitter?

Some pets are stressed and anxious when placed in boarding kennels or catteries, and for these pets, staying in their own home with frequent visits is a wonderful alternative.

They get to sleep in their own bed, everything smells the same as usual, and you don’t have to worry about them picking up viruses or unwanted guests while they are away.

They get to keep to their own schedule and of course they will be given lots of love and affection while you are away.

Your house will also benefit from daily visits; it will continue to look lived in, and will be checked daily for any sign of problems.

What happens if my pet becomes ill when I am away?

At your initial consultation we will create a plan for your pet should he or she become ill while you are away. I will have you fill out a veterinary release form (it is handy if you leave one on record with your vet along with payment info) and with that I will be able to seek veterinary care for your pet.

I will call you or your emergency contact as per outlined in our contract, and I will care for your pet until your return, unless your pet requires hospitalization, in which case I will keep in touch with your vet and keep you updated.
